Job Description

• Perform alterations, repairs, and custom fittings on a variety of garments.
• Take accurate measurements and consult with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
• Interpret and follow sewing patterns, designs, and instructions to produce high-quality finished products.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines, sergers, and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with designers, stylists, and other team members to ensure the timely completion of sewing projects.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used on each project.
• Stay updated on current fashion trends, techniques, and technologies related to sewing and tailoring.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a seamstress, tailor, or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating sewing machines, sergers, and other sewing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics, and garment construction.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and problem-solving abilities.
• Vocational training or certification in sewing or tailoring is a plus.
