Our client is a leading technology enabled legal services company that provides pre-settlement and post-settlement administration services for single event, mass tort, and class action cases with the goal of helping claimants access their settlement proceeds more efficiently and quickly. Our client's core offering is post-settlement Healthcare Lien Resolution Administration and QSF (Qualified Settlement Fund) Administration and payments processing for multi-claimant (mass tort and class action) litigation. Other services include claims administration, single event lien resolution, probate and bankruptcy coordination, release administration, plaintiff fact sheet preparation and management, medical records review, and automated solutions for MDL (multi-district litigation).  They enable law firms to focus on their litigation while ensuring that critical pre-settlement and post-settlement administration documents, services, business analytics and reporting are handled efficiently and effectively.

Position Summary:
The Lien Operations Team Lead is responsible for supervising Case Analysts (CAs) resolving liens in the Mass Tort Lien Resolution department, & leading a team of 4-7 CAs in all aspects of lien resolution. The successful person in this role will be satisfied knowing that their work produces the right outcomes for our clients. Our ideal candidate is a process-oriented person capable of understanding the broad goals and protocols of various operations teams and one who is skilled in collaborating with those teams to document workflows necessary for the training of our US Based and India Operations team members to support those procedures at scale.

Job Responsibilities:
The Lien Operations Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of case analysts by successfully completing and/or overseeing job duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring error-free and timely submissions are made by CAs to agencies each month;
  • Ensuring manual correspondence requests are accurately and timely submitted by CAs to agencies as needed;
  • Ensuring timely uploading of inbound information into proprietary database and ensuring that QC checklists are followed and appropriate notes are made by CAs;
  • Creating and testing QC checklists as needed to ensure error-free work product;
  • Communicating with internal teams and managers to ensure appropriate prioritization of work and to communicate labor needs;
  • Developing comprehensive training guide materials for team to streamline on-boarding;
  • Handling all elements of human resources for direct reports, including but not limited to: hiring, performance reviews, performance improvement plans, ongoing counseling regarding areas of improvement and career development, and terminations;
  • Contributing to process improvements on team by requesting technology enhancements, coordinating with internal teams to create Excel or SQL tools to assist in work, and developing methodologies to ensure that liens in our court move timely and that liens where we are waiting on a response from an agency receive regular and aggressive follow up.
Expectations of a successful Team Lead include the following:
  • Satisfactory completion of Client Satisfaction/QC error reviews pertaining to issues on their teams;
  • Maintenance of red flags for their teams;
  • Ensuring that liens in bulk submissions are sent out timely each month & reporting to the Lien Processing Manager
  • Working with the Lien Processing Manager to determine monthly priorities, and ensuring that teams complete outreach/follow ups on all outstanding liens;
  • Completing process improvement projects as assigned by Management.
