Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Senior HR Reporting Specialist for a project with Fortune 500 Organization in the St. Louis area! Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree as well as 4+ years of experience in reporting and analysis to be considered.


Job Title: Senior HR Reporting Specialist
Location: St. Louis area- able to work Remotely
Status: 6 Month Contract
Hours: Mon - Fr, 8 am to 5 pm
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience (negotiable)
 
Project Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, reporting, and challenges. You have the opportunity to support high-impact work in the firm, such as providing the data for our rankings in Fortune 100 Best Places to Work. We support Human Capital data needs for many divisions and functions in the firm, so you will gain broad exposure to the firm and exposure to different business areas. We are also implementing a new case management tool, which is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our capabilities and support operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Create, run, modify, and improve standard and on-demand ad hoc reports daily
  • Responsible for developing, reviewing, and filing regulatory reporting
  • Provide counsel, leadership and direction to service receivers regarding relevant, accurate and efficient calculation of key statistics, use of systems, or reports
  • Meet with service receivers to gather information and determine required reporting based on user's needs.
  • Regularly examine, review, locate, and resolve mistakes in data reports to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Extract, merge, cleanse, and transform large data sets using reporting tools.
  • Apply knowledge of data sources and structures, analytics, and statistics to accurately interpret the data.
  • Provide counsel, leadership, and direction to service receivers regarding relevant, accurate and efficient calculation of key statistics, use of systems, or reports to assist and meet operational needs
  • Meet with service receivers to gather information and determine required reporting based on user's needs.
  • Build trust with business areas and ask probing questions to uncover unknown requirements
  • Identify and assist with resolutions to data integrity, service, and/or system issues which could include new processes, use of systems, or reports
  • Improve, maintain, modify, and create detailed and accurate technical reporting processes and procedures to ensure accurate an.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to end users in using reporting tools.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality reports on time.
  • Tests reporting writing applications after system upgrades.
  • Manages medium to large sized projects routinely.

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or comparable degree or work experience
  • 4+ years business experience utilizing report writing software
  • Expert knowledge of PeopleSoft Query Reporting Tools and recent experience with building complex queries preferred
  • Highly skilled in query writing and data mining with recent experience building complex queries
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, complex problem-solving ability, and ability to use critical thinking and creativity in query building.
