We are seeking to hire a System Discipline Manager to work with our client in Jupiter, FL
Location: Jupiter, FL
Duration: Full Time
Salary: up to $185,000 annually
Qualification:
- Master's Degree in Engineering from a reputed institute or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
Job Description:- Ability to manage Performance analysis /Aero thermal projects and coordinate with customers on daily/weekly deliverables.
- Review technical presentations, discipline reviews & ensure quality.
- Strong aero thermal design domain knowledge in fluid flow & heat transfer analysis.
- Understanding CFD analysis results and using results into thermal analysis.
- Expertise in engine performance and modeling analysis using NPSS.
- Perform Parametric modeling studies for conceptual/Preliminary design to PSRD requirements.
- Responsible for quality and communication between relevant parties.
- Review periodic Customer Feedback reports and provide action plans for non-compliance.
- Conduct Proficiency enhancement programs and periodically conduct Discipline Health Reviews.
- Support Design reviews by bringing the experts together.
Primary activities including but not limited to the following: - Ability to develop/assist teams to develop Flow/Thermal models (2D,3D & 2D/3D) for aero/industrial gas turbine engine components using FEM tools like ANSYS etc.
- Run aero thermal tools to generate steady state and transient boundary conditions for flight mission profiles.
- Understanding CFD analysis results and using results into thermal analysis.
- Ability to manage Performance/aero thermal projects and coordinate with customers on daily/weekly deliverables.
- Expertise to develop/perform aero/industrial gas turbine engine cycle analysis and engine matching using any commercial tools like NPSS etc.
- Perform engine performance and modeling analysis using NPSS.
- Perform Parametric modeling studies for conceptual/Preliminary design to PSRD requirements.
- Provide direct and timely feedback to customers on troubleshooting procedures and maintenance recommendations, and provide periodic fleet status reports
- Conduct engine analytics tasks such as shop visit induction performance analysis, engine test performance assessment, trend analysis, and correlation studies relating test cell to on-wing performance
- Excellent technical, analytical and communication skill are essential.
- Ability to work with offshore and global teams to understand project scope including analysis domain, boundary condition, material models, type of analysis etc.
- Strong Technical, Project Management, Interpersonal and Problem-solving skills
Work Experience and Essential Skills:- 15+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years of experience working in aero Engine aero thermal fluids domain.
- Familiarity with cycle analysis of various thermodynamic cycles. Strong aero thermal design domain knowledge in fluid flow & heat transfer analysis.
- Hands on experience with performance analysis tools (NPSS, Unigraph etc.) and basic to mid-level experience in programming languages like Python, Matlab, VBA etc.
- Microsoft office - PowerPoint for Redline Creation and Outlook for requests
- Expertise with
- CAD software: UG/NX, Space Claim
- CAE TOOLS: ANSYS, ANSYS Workbench, Fluent or any other CFD tools
- Prog. Languages: ANSYS(APDL), C, VBA, Python, MatLab-SimLink
- Must have a well-rounded view on issues surrounding innovation, technologies, retail, production, and mobility services throughout the world and can propose solutions for local as well as global automotive markets.
