HR and Safety Coordinator
Ultimate Staffing is working with an established company in the manufacturing sector seeking a full time HR and Safety Coordinator to join their team near Columbia, MD.
Hybrid work schedule - 4 days in the office
Salary: $55,000 - $63,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
HR Responsibilities:
- Manage full life-cycle talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and interviewing candidates.
- Oversee the pre-employment process, including drug screenings, background checks, and reference checks.
- Conduct new employee orientations and manage the full onboarding process, ensuring all training and documentation are completed.
- Build and maintain relationships with staff at all levels, ensuring new employees integrate effectively into the organization.
- Ensure all employee paperwork is compliant, filed, and maintained within the HRIS system.
- Ensure that all timecards have been accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
- Prepare and conduct educational training sessions and webinars regularly.
- Review and update existing safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of talent acquisition experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software applications.
- At least one year of experience with an HRIS system (Paycom preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.
