Construction Project Manager
Location: Kearny Mesa, CA
Pay: $100,000 - $115,000

An industry leading Commercial Construction company that specializes in Preconstruction, Design/Build, Construction Management, and General Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring their projects run smoothly, within budget, and on-time.
Responsibilities
- The Project Manager is responsible for managing, leading, and coordinating all aspects of tenant improvement projects
- Maintain accountability for overall project success including financials, contractual obligations, quality control, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Manage all construction processes including RFI's, Submittals, CO's, invoicing, and provide support and direction to the project team
- Mentor, lead, and train project engineers for career advancement while maintaining a positive, healthy work environment
- Create and maintain project schedules, cost control statements, subcontractor coordination, pay applications, change orders, and monthly status reports
- Maintain a positive relationship with clients, architects, and subcontractors
- Prepare comprehensive project proposals
- Negotiate, qualify and execute subcontract and prime contract agreements
- Perform pre-construction services including quantity take off's, estimating, and constructability review
- Prepare monthly project financial forecasts for management
- Host construction meetings with clients, subcontractors, and 3rd parties including design, preconstruction, and weekly progress meetings
- Manage project closeout including jurisdictional requirements, systems training, client deliverables, and warranty walks
- Perform other job-related assignments as required that may be scheduled or unscheduled and may involve duty performance beyond normal shift hours
Qualifications- Construction Management, Engineering or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years in Construction Project Management experience required
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Procore (or similar PM software)
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Good analytical skills, ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy, and attention to detail
- Valid CA driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
