Construction Project Manager
Location: Kearny Mesa, CA
Pay: $100,000 - $115,000
Direct Hire

An industry leading Commercial Construction company that specializes in Preconstruction, Design/Build, Construction Management, and General Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring their projects run smoothly, within budget, and on-time.

  • The Project Manager is responsible for managing, leading, and coordinating all aspects of tenant improvement projects
  • Maintain accountability for overall project success including financials, contractual obligations, quality control, timeliness, and client satisfaction
  • Manage all construction processes including RFI's, Submittals, CO's, invoicing, and provide support and direction to the project team
  • Mentor, lead, and train project engineers for career advancement while maintaining a positive, healthy work environment
  • Create and maintain project schedules, cost control statements, subcontractor coordination, pay applications, change orders, and monthly status reports
  • Maintain a positive relationship with clients, architects, and subcontractors
  • Prepare comprehensive project proposals
  • Negotiate, qualify and execute subcontract and prime contract agreements
  • Perform pre-construction services including quantity take off's, estimating, and constructability review
  • Prepare monthly project financial forecasts for management
  • Host construction meetings with clients, subcontractors, and 3rd parties including design, preconstruction, and weekly progress meetings
  • Manage project closeout including jurisdictional requirements, systems training, client deliverables, and warranty walks
  • Perform other job-related assignments as required that may be scheduled or unscheduled and may involve duty performance beyond normal shift hours
  • Construction Management, Engineering or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years in Construction Project Management experience required
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Procore (or similar PM software)
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Good analytical skills, ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Valid CA driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
