We are currently recruiting for a Bi-lingual Administrative Assistant for a church located in the St. Pete, FL area.  As a member of our team, the Receptionist will provide overall support to  Department Managers. This person will Perform various clerical and administrative duties such as answering and directing company phone, data entry, office purchases, company correspondence, filing and other clerical duties. Self-starter, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining composed, professional and organized. This is an In Office position, no remote. This is a Direct Hire position.  Weekend and evening activities are a part of this position.  Any previous mission work would be a plus!

  1. Serve as Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Intercultural Ministries Office by providing administrative support for all activities of the office.
  2. Prepare all mailings, including bulk mailings and take it to the Workroom.
  3. Request checks and deposits as approved by the Director. After the Director checks and approves them, make deposits of the money collected for all activities like gathering events, retreats, festivals, classes, selling of materials, etc.
  4. Prepare materials needed for meetings, workshops, conferences, special events, liturgical celebrations, and all other evets sponsored by the Intercultural Ministries Office.
  5. Assist with the recruitment, publicity, and implementation of the various educational, spiritual, and pastoral programs for the diverse groups to help with their faith development and growth.
  6. Is familiar with the overall activities and processes of the office to respond knowledgeably to telephone and e-mails requests.
  7. Complete Spanish and English translations for the different offices as requested by the Director and other offices of the Diocese, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  8. Maintain the Web page for the Intercultural Ministries Office in accordance to the guidelines of the Diocese Web Master. Respond to all incoming inquiries from the Web page.
  9. Gather material with input from the Director of the Office of Intercultural Ministries to be published in the office electronic newsletter via Flocknote. Keep newsletter updated and publish it weekly unless directed otherwise by the Director.
  10. Attend appropriate meetings, conferences, convocations, institutes, workshops, etc. in the field of Intercultural Ministries Formation and Administrative Support as requested by the Director.
  11. Keeps a line of communication and make sure that the priests and ministers that work with the Hispanic communities receive all information in Spanish for activities, classes, media releases, etc. as needed or as requested.
  1. The Administrative Assistant is directly accountable to and evaluated by the Director of the Intercultural Ministries Office.
The Administrative Assistant interacts with other offices.
