HR / Payroll Clerk:
Full-time, on-site
Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per Hour
Job Description: Our Client is a Texas based Engineering firm established in 2007, has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resources and Payroll Clerk in our positive, high-energy work environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for a wide range of activities from payroll, staffing and recruiting to aiding in the creation and maintenance of policies, processes, and documents as well as safety administration and compliance. Ultimately, you will help make sure our HR department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire, train and retain highly qualified individuals who will help make our team better. The potential applicant should be detailed oriented, be able to prioritize, possess effective communication skills, and strive for excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
-Staffing and Recruiting
-New Hire Process and Recruitment procedures
-Screen candidates and set up interviews for hiring managers
-Substantiates applicants' skills by administering and scoring tests
-Complete Onboarding of new hires
-Process and tracking time and attendance records
-Processing Payroll Change requests
-Process weekly and monthly Payroll
-Maintains employee information in the HRIS systems
-Assist employees with "Self Service' aspects of the HRIS system as needed
-Assist in the training and development of employee's - Safety Training, CEU, etc.
-Process and approve Benefit vendor invoices
-Assist in all aspects of Benefit Coordination
-Employee Relations - Communication Feed on Paylocity, Employee Acknowledgement
programs, Employee Referral program, etc.
-Maintains accurate Employee Files, Organization Charts, Contact List
-Management of Company Policies and distribution of updates with assistant of management
-Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource
information confidential
-Maintains quality service by following organization standards and processing employee
inquiries in a timely and considerate manner
-Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
-Develop and Maintain EEO and Affirmative Action Plan
-Assist in the completion, tracking, and maintenance of all Federal, State and Local
compliance related documents.
-Develop and Maintain Safety Plans and Training for diverse departments
-Provide Compliance documents as required for government contracts along with the
accounting department.
-Other duties may be assigned as needed
Education and Experience: Minimum requirements:
-Associate or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred but will
consider experience in lieu of education.
-2 years' experience working in a Human Resources and Payroll or related fields a plus
-Hand-on experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), like Paylocity
