Position Title: HR Generalist

Job Duties/Description:

  • Provides general administrative support for all HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, learning & development, programs and policies, benefits, payroll, etc.
  • Assists with job postings, screening candidates, selects qualified candidates, schedules interviews, and obtains interview feedback under the direction of the HR Manager. Additional candidate sourcing may also be needed.
  • Assists with the full onboarding process and conducts new employee orientation.
  • Maintains and updates all employee data in all HR related company systems.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in the admin for all systems (HR data, payroll data, benefits, performance management, learning & development, time and attendance, etc.) and running reports as needed.
  • Primary lead for all payroll preparation, which includes reviewing and processing all transactions each payroll by the processing deadline, running and reviewing overtime and hourly pay reports, and coordinating with HR team, finance and payroll.
  • Processing all employee position, compensation, and manager changes. This includes preparing and sending all change letters.
  • Owns all administration for the employee offboarding process.
  • Assists with benefit administration as needed.
  • Assists in administration of disability, FMLA, and workers' compensation leaves/claims including coordinating return-to-work and reviewing accommodation requests as needed.
  • Answers employee questions and gathers information and conducts research on special projects as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department head.

  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a professional industry, previous construction industry a plus. (HR Assistant, Specialist, Coordinator)
  • Bachelor or Associates degree in Human Resources or Business related is a plus.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with employment regulations and/or typical human resources procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 
  • Previous HRIS experience strongly preferred. (ex. UKG)
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Ability to determine priorities, plan workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. - will be working in a team of 2-3
  • Background check and drug screen are required.

Additional Info:
  • Pay range: $70K-80K
  • Schedule: 7am to 4pm, 1 hour lunch OR 7:30am to 4pm, ½ hour lunch
  • Location: St. Paul, MN- 100% In-office
  • Type: Temp-to-hire/permanent, 561+ hours
