Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is hiring an Operator Trainee for a family owned custom shipping company located in Santa Clara, CA. This is a temp to hire opportunity for 1st and 2nd shift 1st shift being 6am to 2:30pm & 2nd shift 2:30pm to 11pm. Pay rate for this role is $18/HR with an opportunity to grow in to a Machine Operator role.

Job Description:

• Assists the Operator in setting up the machine, which includes but is not limited to slotting knives, heads, feed section, print plates, and die-cut tooling.
• May help with mounting printing plates and cutting dies.
• May ink the machine and use chemicals to adjust ink properties, and clean printing plates.
• Feeds corrugated sheets.
• Cuts strapping from corrugated bales.
• Lifts pallets.
• Helps clean the machine.
• Maintains a clean work area at all times.
• Chemicals used: cold glue, silicone spray, water-based flexographic ink, pH adjuster, Antifoam, Myer Ameri-clear

Requirements:

• Must have excellent communication skills
• Basic math skills needed
• Experience with machinery is a plus
• Must have own steal toed boots
