Client in Los Angeles is seeking a HR Generalist to work onsite

Location: West Los Angeles, CA
Remote or In Office: In Office
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Job Title: HR Generalist
Pay: $30/hr-$35/hr
Duration: temp- to - hire
Job Description: Under the supervision of the Sr. Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department in subject areas such as employee relations, payroll, benefits, record-keeping, and more. In addition, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the sourcing, recruitment, training and overall management and oversight of organizational volunteers as well as maintaining volunteer records and volunteer schedules.

Responsibilities:
* Provides support to the HR Department with talent acquisition, onboarding, LOAs, benefits, payroll, employee relations, payroll, benefits, terminations, and record-keeping
* Responsible for the sourcing, recruitment, training, and overall management and oversight of volunteers
* Schedule meetings and interviews for open positions
* Utilizing Paylocity
* Assure that information is accurately entered into the payroll system; check and verify that payroll deductions/withholdings for each pay period area
* Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll process is accurate and within deadlines
* Ensure compliance with all federal and state payroll, wage, and hour requirements
* Assure that the Employee Handbook is compliant and updated at least annually
* Assist with 403(b) enrollments, communications, and mandatory reporting
* Assist with management of benefits plans (medical, dental, vision, FSA's and retirement plans)
* HR credit card reconciliation and expense reports

Qualifications:
-Non-profit industry experience is a plus!
-Bachelors Degree
-3+ years of experience as a HR Generalist
-Experience with Paylocity a plus!
