Position: Engineering Manager

Location: On-site in Columbia, IL

Salary: $100-120k depending on experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the work of engineering staff.
  • Oversee engineering staff to ensure they meet goals and objectives.
  • Recruit and onboard additional engineering staff as needed.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Provide training and mentoring to support staff development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the COO and Director of Manufacturing to set long-term operating and manufacturing goals.
  • Lead the development of new products from initial concept through testing and production.
  • Work with the marketing department to determine market potential for new products.
  • Oversee the progress and timeliness of projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Review project reports to monitor and manage project status.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong managerial and supervisory capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • At least ten years of related experience required.
