Job Description

The Accessory Supply Analyst will independently gather data, conduct analysis, and generate reports for various ad hoc requests concerning port/PDC/dealer parts inventory management. This role is pivotal in ensuring adequate parts availability to meet brand accessory requirements at ports and PDCs, while also maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Fill Rate, Backorder Lines, and Inventory objectives. Utilizing tools like Excel, Access, or other analytical software, they will provide detailed analysis to management. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for developing and enhancing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Location: Fountain Valley, CA Hybrid
  • Payrate: $32-$38
  • Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
  • Requirement: Intermediate Access or SQL (Assessments Required) + Strong Inventory Management Experience

This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive and customer-centric mindset, exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous follow-up, and robust critical thinking skills. These responsibilities directly impact customer service metrics (such as satisfaction ratings, fill rate, and backorder lines), operational expenses (including freight and warehousing costs), and overall company profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and validate data for pipeline and transfer files, initiating purchase orders/transfers as needed
  • Communicate effectively with management on business KPIs, part shortages, excess/obsolete inventory projections, and other critical metrics, proposing improvements for enhanced customer service
  • Collaborate closely with brands and ports to fulfill business needs
  • Place monthly purchase orders at appropriate PDC locations based on demand and forecasts, managing transfer orders to minimize costs, and analyzing PDC requirements to support port demands
  • Work with the expediting team to promptly resolve critical needs such as port shortages/backorders
  • Develop, review, document, and maintain SOPs, ensuring adherence through regular audits with Supply Team leadership

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Daily updates of pipeline and transfer sheets using SAP data
  • Initiation of transfers to balance inventory based on suggested transfer files
  • Support in resolving port installation errors and other related issues
  • Oversight of aged in-transit reports to ensure proper clean-up procedures
  • Handling ad hoc requests for analysis, special projects, or additional tasks
  • Querying Data Warehouse (DW) as per management specifications
  • Monitoring DW for data integrity and coordinating with IT for issue resolution
  • Monitoring orders closely to ensure critical parts are expedited effectively
  • Evaluating and improving forecasting and inventory management processes as needed
  • Coordinating with Original Equipment manufacturers (OEs) to address planning and expediting issues
  • Monitoring and acting on KPIs to meet objectives
  • Reporting on issues and resolutions to MPA and OEs for improved customer service
  • Responding to shortage reports promptly
  • Sending monthly inventory updates to ports
  • Participation in port audits as required

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in inventory management
  • Proven ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and ensure follow-through for positive outcomes
  • Experience in inventory planning is essential
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Excellent verbal and written communicatio
