Job Description

Schedule: 100% In Office Monday to Friday 7 am to 4 pm. They also have a rotating on call weekends and evenings.

Position Overview:

The Operating Engineer is responsible for the preventative maintenance and work order repairs at an assigned asset or multiple assets.  The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, access control, DDC systems and various fire life safety systems.


Responsibilities:

Performs all necessary operational activities and ensures reliability of all mechanical systems at the assigned properties.

Conducts operational tasks as needed on HVAC which could include DDC and pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, access control and fire life safety systems.

General building maintenance including repairs to doors, ceilings, roofs, floors and miscellaneous areas. 

Responsive in emergency situations

Maintains and updates departmental records in accordance with guidelines established by supervisor.

Provides excellent customer service to all building customers.  Addresses customer requests promptly and maintains good working relationships

Develops and increases technical skills related to position by attending ongoing training sessions

Must have general computer skills and be familiar with Outlook, Word, and Excel

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements:

3-7 years of related experience. 

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Appropriate city licenses, SMA or SMT preferred.
