Job Description

Our client is a leader in the Sterilization Industry and they are looking to add a phenomenal Purchasing / Inventory Manager to a phenomenal team! 

The Purchasing / Inventory Manager will perform the following:

*    Manages and coordinates purchasing critical items from vendors to ensure adherence to the production schedule. Such as Glassware, Stoppers, Seals, Boxes, Autoclave Bags, etc. 

*    Coordinate with quality regarding Approved Suppliers. Sending survey questionnaire and obtaining qualifying information for Quality Compliance.

*    Prepare and process requisitions of purchase orders for supplies and materials. 

*    Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.

*    Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.

*    Represent companies negotiating contracts and prices.

*    Works with Quality Department to develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures.

*    Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met - or exceeded.

*    Manage deliveries to confirm compliance with contracts.

*    Communicate with quality and supplier regarding damaged ware. 

*    Work with receiving department regarding required documentation.

*    Respond to the various departments within the organization who may need information regarding vendors, products, deliveries, etc.

*    Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.

*    Resolve vendor or contract grievances and claims against suppliers.

*    Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

*    Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.

*    Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages.

*    Ensure product stock is adequate to cover direct demand from customer. 

*    Work with production to indicate ware and status on production log.

*    Provide production department accurate inventory counts.

*    Checks inventory, tracks how inventory is used, and adjusts purchasing habits in accord with apparent trends.

*    Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements.

*    Communicate at all times any backorder or shortages and stock level issues.

*    Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems

*    Perform Annual Physical Inventory no sooner than December 1 no later than December 31st. (Resources may be allocated to complete).

*    Manage and perform inventory of client supplied ware. Ensure accurate product counts for Clients.

*    Maintain Chemical Purchasing Log for Regulations.

*    Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

*    Provide yearly budget and expense for purchased items per category. 

*    Arrange for disposal of Surplus materials.

*    Managing excess and ageing stock.

*    Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:    
*    Requires attention to detail.

*    Good problem solving skills. 

*    Good oral and written communication skills.

*    Previous experience with cGMP and documentation is an asset.
