Quality Specialist II is accountable for ensuring top product quality and safety in our manufacturing environment. This role involves performing inspections, assisting in material disposition, conducting root cause investigations, and resolving part issues to maintain smooth production processes. The Quality Specialist II gains valuable experience in quality management and significantly contributes to our commitment to excellence and innovation. This position requires hands-on experience with inspection tools, proficiency in reading engineering drawings, and intermediate-level expertise in Microsoft Excel.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and visual inspection techniques, with the ability to read engineering drawings and perform incoming inspections using calipers and micrometers. * Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and root cause analysis. * Exhibit excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.

Job Duties include:

Complete incoming, in-process, and final inspection requirements, including mechanical, electrical, and visual inspections. * Review submitted paperwork for accuracy and completeness. * Assist in the disposition of suspect materials, ensuring proper processing and completion. * Make informed judgment calls on the status of goods based on inspection results.: * Participate in root cause investigations to identify and eliminate issues. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. * Resolve part issues promptly to ensure safe and consistent production activities. * Work closely with production teams to maintain product quality standards.: * Ensure all safety rules and regulations are followed. * Promote a culture of safety within the workplace.: * Prepare and maintain production and quality reports. * Document inspection results, issues, and corrective actions

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and visual inspection techniques. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Intermediate understanding of how to conduct a root cause analysis. * Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and equipment (caliper and a micrometer). * Ability to work independently and make sound judgment calls.
