Marketing Product Manager - San Diego Location: Mira Mesa, CA Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 **Must be fully vaccinated for COVID**
Summary An industry leading Medical Device company in Mira Mesa is seeking a Product Manager to join their team. As a Product Manager in our Strategic Business Unit, you will define and implement market requirements for new products and be a subject matter expert in a dedicated product line. You will prepare marketing plans, support programs for a specific product, product line, or product area. In addition, you will coordinate implementation with technical services and field sales organization in potentially over 30 different countries providing marketing leadership and training to field personnel and customers.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Develop marketing and product strategies related to next generation whole blood hemostasis analyzers including product concept definition, voice of the customer, product requirements, and product launch
Drive innovation identifying short and long-term product and business opportunities while contributing to product and marketing strategies (shifts in technology, market trends)
Identifies market trends, competitor threads, and business opportunities related to dedicated product lines or next generation systems in development
Develop key messages, tactical plans, technical bulletins, and commercial tools
Key marketing interface with R&D, Operations, Finance, and QA/RA departments
Stay informed about developments and testing in the medical diagnostic industry as they
apply to the company's future marketing plans and products
Liaise with internal and external partners to address product issues, coordinate feedback with international commercial teams and customers around product lifecycle and identify process improvements along the value chain
Provide training to international commercial teams in product and value proposition
Work independently and able to interface with all levels of management strategizing and problem solving
Presents strategic marketing plans, commercial launch preparation plans, or product development concepts or requirements to senior management
At a minimum, you will have...
BS/MS in Science, Engineering, or relevant area of study and ideally a further qualification in a business or marketing related discipline An MBA is a plus
MUST have IVDR (IN VITRO DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL DEVICE REGULATION) experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing product management positions, developing and commercializing products within diagnostics, medical devices, or a related industry
