Job Description

As the Program Manager for Employment Support Services, you will lead a dedicated team of up to 15 Employment Specialists, facilitating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities within their communities.

This is a HYBRID role (2 days a week remote) after training which will be onsite for 3 months in St. Paul. With the ability to work onsite more if needed dependent on the meetings/agenda that week).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of up to 15 employees, providing regular performance feedback and addressing any training needs.
    • Conduct bi-annual competency assessments and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Productivity:
    • Ensure adherence to all contractual, licensure (including MN 245D), and corporate policies.
    • Monitor and drive team productivity to meet established standards.
  • Performance Management & Training:
    • Collaborate with the Senior Director and Human Capital to address performance issues and implement improvement plans.
    • Deliver comprehensive training for new and current employees, ensuring health, safety, and rights protection.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Maintain high service standards and promptly address any findings from record audits.
  • Communication & Meetings:
    • Lead regular team meetings and effectively cascade important updates and information.
  • Staffing & Recruitment:
    • Fulfill staffing requirements by interviewing and onboarding qualified candidates.
  • Community Outreach:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, including case managers and prospective employers, to enhance program growth.
  • Documentation & Billing:
    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of billable services within the electronic health record system.
    • Review and approve service entries to ensure accurate billing, making amendments as necessary.
  • Mandatory Reporting & Representation:
    • Act as a mandated reporter, ensuring the health and safety of individuals supported.
    • Represent the agency positively to clients, community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Monitor program expenses and revenues, addressing any financial discrepancies.
    • Approve expenses for direct reports and collaborate with the finance department to maintain financial procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in managing teams and programs with the human services industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MN 245D and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • BA/BS in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. If you hold a Social Work degree, we expect you to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Social Work, as required.
