Job Description

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join one of our amazing clients in Davis, CA! This position is within the biotechnology industry and services cell culture and bio-industrial markets with innovative media formulations, complementary products and contract services.

Duties/Tasks:

Represents warehouse as primary point of contact for customer shipments including interactions with shipping partners and international customs agencies. Will also interface with media manufacturing, facilities, sales, customer service and quality representatives. Responsible for team and area that processes domestic and international shipments, receives goods and schedule shipments.

  • Responsible for timely and accurate shipment of products to customers.
  • Follow Quality Management Program including Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review customer order documentation for accuracy.
  • Contribute to accurate warehouse inventories, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Receiving of inbound material and communication to manufacturing departments.
  • Material transfer driving between facility and storage locations.
  • Escalate and report inaccuracies, deviations and customer complaints to Quality Organization.
  • Develop organizational standards and systems for processes to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to seek out opportunities to improve process performance and GMP operations.

  • Strong leadership abilities with capability to leverage diverse resources, respond quickly, understand impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, build collaborative relationships, and understand customer's needs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.

Education requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required and/or 7 years of related experience in a warehouse/shipping environment or equivalent.
  • 2 years leadership experience.
  • Experience interacting with Manufacturing Organizations.
  • Knowledge of industry practices and regulations (cMP, Annex I) and across multiple health authorities (e.g., FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP (SAP, NetSuite, etc.) and Inventory Management systems required
  • Forklift certification required. Ability to train and certify others required.
  • Dry Ice Handling Certificate preferred.
