As our HR Generalist, you'll wear many hats, focusing on Employee Relations, Performance Management, Benefits and Wellness, and refining our internal Training program. You'll be a go-to resource for employees and managers alike, providing guidance, problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, offering guidance on company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives by fostering responsiveness and process improvement.
  • Provide talent and performance management support to managers through consulting, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with managers on day-to-day employee management, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws.
  • Support benefits program administration, enrollment, and resolve issues in partnership with employees and our broker team.
  • Coordinate internal training programs, working with training partners, internal resources, and our HRIS system to track training activities.
  • Manage our health & wellness program, collaborating with Wellness Consultants to enhance employee wellness and leverage wellness benefits.
  • Enhance existing employee recognition programs to boost morale and motivation.
  • Conduct Exit Interviews, analyze trend data, and make recommendations to address employee concerns.
  • Develop, update, and edit HR policies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in employee relations.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport across various stakeholders.
  • Experience with non-exempt employees and California compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations calmly.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Proficiency in health benefit plan administration and explaining plan features.
  • Respect for confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information securely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Valid California Driver License and willingness to travel within California (up to 10% travel).
