Compensation: $125-150K+ Car Allowance/Annual Bonus (negotiable for the right candidate)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team through the preconstruction and design process, communicating strategy and expectations effectively.
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, including detailed clarifications, schedules, and more.
  • Facilitate strategy discussions to propel projects forward and drive successful outcomes.
  • Develop and update preconstruction schedules, along with preliminary high-level construction schedules, providing strategic insights for logistics and procurement.
  • Actively participate in sales presentations and owner meetings as required, representing our company with professionalism and expertise.
  • Lead buyout and subcontractor interviews as necessary, collaborating closely with project teams.
  • Participate in contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with project budgets and provide analysis of deviations, offering creative solutions for budget challenges.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers to foster collaboration and project success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of construction experience, with on-site project experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a team through the preconstruction and estimating process.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, with a keen ability to recognize problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with multiple project types and sizes, along with a strong understanding of unit costs for various project types.
  • Proficiency in estimating standards and software, with a deep understanding of MEP, structural, and other systems and pricing.
  • Ability to see the big picture while diving into the details as necessary, with effective multitasking skills and delegation abilities.
