We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance or direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain patient records, including updating demographic information and medical history.
  • Process patient admissions, discharges, and transfers accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, and mail.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely completion of patient documentation and reports.
  • Assist with billing and insurance verification tasks as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in medical administration preferred.
  • Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced enviro

onalism.
