Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support our client's high-volume sales center in Broward County.  This key position will perform a wide variety of corporate payroll record keeping and processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, balancing and controlling earnings and deduction totals, inspecting automated system output such as registers and standard reports, processing special pay including commission/bonus, garnishments and levies, expense reporting and month end accruals/reporting.   This role is an integral piece to the HCM team and will report directly to the VP of Human Resources.  If you are interested in applying for this position please follow the directions on this page or contact Matt Friedman for more information,

  • Process payroll in a high volume environment including the following:
    • Gross to net calculations
    • Distribution of pay
    • Earning/deduction codes
    • Third party payments
  • Record payroll entry for each payroll period via general ledger interface
  • Record and reconcile month end accruals for payroll, bonuses, salaries and accrued vacation to the general ledger
  • Oversee the daily administration of the Company's 401k Plan including:
    • Fund the plan on a bi-weekly basis
    • Administer the details of the 401k plan in Fidelity
    • Maintain the 401k employer match on a year to date basis
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll tax reporting
  • Review and processing of year end W-2s
  • Reconcile accounting records to Form 941 on a quarterly basis
  • Communicate with employees regarding questions regarding payroll
  • Assist in audits (year-end, 401k and workers compensation)
  • 5-7 years experience payroll processing experience with multiple platforms
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Office Skills
