Benefits Specialist 2904

Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with 401(k), 457(b), FSA, and IRS regulations.

- Manage and administer employee benefits programs.

- Conduct audits of carrier invoices to verify correct billing.

- Oversee workers' compensation claims and procedures.

- Handle leave of absence requests and associated paperwork, including FMLA.

- Collaborate closely with payroll specialists on pay rates, deductions, and leave management.

- Proficiency in Paycom software for HR and payroll processes.

- Familiarity with HRIS platforms like ADP, Kronos, Taleo, PeopleSoft, or Workday is beneficial.

Key Skills and Experience:

- Strong understanding of benefits administration and compliance.

- Experience in auditing and financial accuracy.

- Knowledgeable in managing workers' compensation and leave of absence protocols.

- Capable of working with payroll and understanding the nuances of employee compensation.

- Comfortable using Paycom and other HRIS software for reporting and data management.

Additional Qualities:

- Ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly.

- Meticulous with a focus on maintaining accuracy in all aspects of the role.

- Effective communication skills for coordinating with various departments and supervisors.

- An initiative-taking approach to identifying and resolving system glitches and discrepancies.

Requirements:

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

A bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, or a related field in HR is also preferred.

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of solid work experience.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.

The candidate should have intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel, with experience in creating Pivot tables, V-lookups, and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
