Senior Operations Associate - Trade Operations Needed in Carpinteria, CA (fully on-site)

Pay Range = $55,000 - $60,000 annually

  • Must have 4 plus experience within a financial services, operations role with capital market exposure
    • 1-3 years of experience with NetX360 - Clearing firms (Pershing)
    • Have FINRA licenses of SIE, and 7 preferred.
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance preferred

As a Financial Services Senior Operations Associate, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various financial and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of financial operations within your organization. This role involves supervisory responsibilities, in-depth knowledge of financial processes, and a strong focus on compliance and efficiency.

Major Duties and Responsibilities


Department Specific Responsibilities:


A dedicated Trade Operations Specialist is responsible for trade operations including account opening, ACAT and non-ACAT transfer process, workflow, work corner and communications with internal and external business partners. Daily responsibilities will involve account opening, process improvement, customer service internally as well as externally, problem resolution and operational and maintenance processes associated with the trading desk.

  1. New account opening:
a. Establish new accounts on proprietary and partnering systems including NetX360 and Schwab Advisor Center.

  1. Transfers:
a. Process and follow up on ACAT and non ACAT transfer requests.


b. Create and update rollover logs

  1. Manage workflow:
a. Monitor and audit NIGOs internally and externally through Pershing, Schwab (Talbot), Schwab, Absolute Capital including all aspects of workflow, exception processing and reports.

  1. Client Services:
a. Act as a liaison between trading platforms and service center.

b. Review and respond to service and research requests

c. Onboarding of new reps to the Pershing platform through establishing access and IDs on NetX

d. Communicate with back offices to resolve any issues

  1. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
a. Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions, agreements, and client interactions.


b. Update and enhance procedural documentation to reflect best practices.

  1. Technology Utilization:
a. Expertly utilize financial software, tools, and systems to perform daily tasks and identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.


b. Provide training and mentorship to junior associates in using financial technology.

  1. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
a. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, departments, and external partners.


  1. Processes:
a. Update and enhance procedural documentation to reflect best practices.

  1. Ad Hoc Projects:
a. Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement, system upgrades, or compliance enhancements.
