Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:

    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
    • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
    • Collaborate with department managers to forecast staffing needs and plan for future talent requirements.
  2. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
    • Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions to maintain a positive work environment.
    • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct and recommend appropriate actions.
  3. Performance Management:

    • Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure employees are effectively evaluated and rewarded for their contributions.
    • Provide training and support to managers on performance management processes, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  4. Training and Development:

    • Identify training needs within the organization and develop training programs to address those needs.
    • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on various topics, including leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and compliance training.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as necessary.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:

    • Manage the organization's compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, bonus plans, and employee benefits packages.
    • Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure the organization's compensation and benefits offerings remain competitive.
    • Work with finance and senior management to develop annual budgets for compensation and benefits expenses.
  6. HR Compliance:

    • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and ensure the organization's HR policies and practices are compliant.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate compliance risks and ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees.
    • Oversee the administration of employee records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Several years of experience in HR management roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
