Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Factory & Inventory Coordinator to support our client in San Jose, CA. This is an onsite role, offers the opportunity to grow within the organization and has a target pay range of $27-31/hour.
General Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing the Company's plant operations which may include manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources and information systems. With direct supervision over a production supervisor and production employees, duties and responsibilities include monitoring production activities; reviewing production requests; performing physical quality audits; assuring compliance with company policy, laws and regulations; and working with other departments to achieve company goals.
Essential Job Functions
Production Management
* Responsible for achieving all facility business goals including, but not limited to, the areas of safety, quality, costs, production/volume, and reliability
* Makes recommendations/decisions to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
* Ensures all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines
* Assists with planning and directing the layout of equipment
* Ensures physical and workforce resources are adequate to meet the organization's production schedule
* Ensures production follows appropriate workflow and assembly methods
* Directs and coordinates plant operations in strict compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations, corporate policies and procedures
* Hires, schedules and trains production staff
* Develops and fosters a well-trained and motivated staff; Assesses current skill sets and aligns with plant future growth and vision
* Develops and fosters high performance team environment, assuring manufacturing excellence across all the functions
* Responsible for strict adherence to the quality and product control systems for the plant
* Ensures that all plant assets are properly managed, safeguarded, and secured
* Manages the activities of production personnel including workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization
Inventory Control
* Establishes procedures for, supervises and conducts physical inventory check on scheduled basis
* Directs staff for quality control on received materials and supplies on scheduled basis
* Coordinates with Purchasing Department to confirm all purchased materials, supplies, equipment and services are fulfilled by suppliers and providers on timely manner without any delays
* Determines the type of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment or tools to be used or purchased based on supplier evaluation and audit
* Improves inventory management by establishing product database with up-to-date balance and procedures for receiving inspection (quantity & quality) database
Supply Chain Management
* Develops, documents and executes a global comprehensive logistics and distribution strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and profitability
* Manages and optimizes a global supply chain logistics network with our group companies
* Ensures all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines
* Identifies and implements infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business along with disciplines for a supply chain operation
* Develops global implementation of distribution with best practices such as system integration and optimization, inventory control, demand planning and SKU optimization
* Drives operational excellence and best practices across the network reducing cost by 5% per year
* Creates a new product database to streamline inventory management
