Job Description:

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe management of material movement, storage, and distribution within our manufacturing environment. This role involves receiving, organizing, and transporting materials to facilitate smooth operations and ensure timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect sales orders and shipping manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize FIFO (First In, First Out) system and approach to maintain inventory integrity.
• Receive incoming stock from suppliers and verify against purchase orders.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Operate equipment necessary to complete warehouse processes safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to high-quality standards and manufacturing occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements.
• Utilize computer systems regularly for material handling, warehouse transactions, and data entry.
• Provide support to manufacturing and project teams as needed to facilitate operations.
• Assist with data entry for logistics and inventory management purposes.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing assembly environment.
• Must have warehouse experience
• Proficiency in operating equipment required for warehouse processes.
• Familiarity with high-quality standards and manufacturing OH&S requirements.
• Experience using computers regularly in a professional capacity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and data.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities as needed.

Additional Information:

This is a temp-to-hire position based in Irvine, CA, with a competitive pay rate of $22-24/hour. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
