Join our client as an HR Administrative Assistant- directly supporting the HR Manager up to $23 hourly Temp to Hire in the Medical Center area of San Antonio. Must be very tech savvy!
Position Overview:
The Human Resources Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department's daily operations. Under the supervision and direction of the HR Manager, this role will assist with various HR tasks, including candidate interviews, onboarding new employees, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the success of the organization.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the recruiting process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
Support sourcing passive candidates.
Maintain and update job descriptions and postings in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Conduct reference checks and assist with candidate background checks.
Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Create new hire announcements and set up profiles in the HR Information System (HRIS).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Address frequently asked questions from applicants and employees and refer complex inquiries to appropriate senior HR staff or management.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee and HR files and records.
Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Support the development, implementation, and improvement of a company-wide performance management system.
Assist in distributing HR policies and employee communications as directed by the HR Manager.
Provide clerical support to the HR department.
Assist in planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
Ensure staff compliance with corporate training, policies, procedures, and standards of behavior.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma
2+ years of human resources experience
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities flexibly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
