Position Title: Transportation Specialist

Work Schedule/ Location: Fully on site in San Francisco, CA

Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary: $25 - $29/ hour

Direct Hire Opportunity

Position Summary: The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that Transportation requests and driver schedules are implemented.

Duties:

  • Develops a daily schedule for each driver for all transportation needs of participants, meal deliveries, staff, deliveries of supplies, and pickups.
  • Assigns Senior Drivers, Drivers and On Call Drivers to the vehicles and routes. Problem solves with staff to ensure timely pick up and drop off.
  • Ensures that all guidelines as described in the Transportation section of the company policy manual and the transportation department operations manual are properly followed.
  • Coordinates transportation services to requesters as needed.
  • Serves as liaison to IDT for receiving information about prt, status and communicates with transportation staff.
  • Identifies training needs of staff and assists in coordination of training calendar.
  • Investigates all reported incidents and accidents involving the transportation department.
  • All other reasonably related jobs as assigned.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Licensed California Driver with good driving record.
  • Ability to operate all vehicles, has some mechanical ability and understands a maintenance program for vehicles.
  • Supervisory ability and experience if possible, in the health care field.
  • Flexibility and creativity; gets along well with frail elderly people, and exercises mature judgment.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds.
