Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple engineering and construction projects from design through completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all project activities, tailored to each contract's specifications. Your expertise will drive successful project outcomes, and you'll collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects supporting the Capital Improvement Plan and Strategic Plan.
  • Coordinate conceptual design, scope development, technical reviews, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Review and accept/reject official documents, specifications, drawings, change orders, and claims.
  • Provide expert feedback and solutions to address project challenges.
  • Oversee design adherence and construction activities.
  • Analyze project risks and propose corrective actions.
  • Negotiate fees, proposals, and change orders for construction contracts.
  • Prepare project budgets and present for approval.
  • Participate in committee meetings and coordinate project activities.
  • Conduct site visits, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison with external agencies.
  • Supervise technical reviews, budgeting, and correspondence.
  • Manage contract deadlines to prevent claims and delays.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related field and six (6) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • Previous airport construction experience and experience in an architectural or engineering firm, commercial construction company or governmental agency with responsibility for compliance and enforcement activities is preferred.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Estimating, project and program scheduling, design, architectural, engineering and construction expertise
  • Commercial construction including complex renovation projects desired
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
