Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to join our dynamic team. As the HRG, you will collaborate closely with the Human Resources Manager to research, implement, and optimize processes aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies within the HR function.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative HR Support (50%)

  • Perform HRIS data entry accurately and efficiently.
    • Compile and audit records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Manage filing and recordkeeping projects effectively.
    • Assist with ad hoc reporting and engagement initiatives.
    • Maintain employee files to ensure completeness and confidentiality.

Employee Recruiting & Onboarding (20%)

  • Facilitate new hire orientation sessions in collaboration with management.
    • Oversee pre-employment drug screenings and background checks.
    • Post job openings and monitor hiring activity.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant state, federal, and local regulations.

Leave of Absence Administration (10%)

  • Communicate documentation requirements to stakeholders.
    • Ensure clear communication of return-to-work expectations.
    • Coordinate with payroll to update timecards accurately.
    • Cross-reference leave factors such as FMLA, ADA, USERRA, etc.
    • Maintain accurate leave records and files.

Worker's Compensation Administration (10%)

  • Coordinate work-related injury visits and follow-ups.
    • Assist in sourcing accommodations and drafting offer letters.
    • Prepare OSHA and DWC report forms as required.
    • Track loss time and restricted duty days meticulously.
    • Ensure timely receipt of documents from treatment partners.
  1. Benefits Administration (10%)
  • Educate employees on available benefits.
    • Collaborate with Third Party Administrator to manage enrollment and address inquiries.
    • Update and maintain data in the benefits system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Comprehensive exposure to various HR functions including recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, worker's compensation, etc.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to occasionally work Saturdays.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • In-depth knowledge of employment labor laws, HR policies, and HRIS systems.
  • Highly effective project management skills with the ability to integrate multiple resources for solutions.
