Job Description

HVAC Estimator Position Overview:

Pay: $35-$40 per hour

Schedule: M-F 40 hours

- Key Responsibilities:

- Calculate costs for labor, materials, and time to provide comprehensive construction project estimates.

- Conduct site visits to gather essential information for client requirements.

- Communicate with clients about the status of proposals and budgets.

- Collaborate with project managers to manage the bidding process for vendors and subcontractors.

- Perform quantity takeoffs to compile a detailed materials list and estimate total construction costs.

- Screen and select appropriate contractors for bid invitations across various platforms.

- Achieve a minimum annual gross margin as specified by the department.

Required Qualifications:

- Proficient in MS Office suite and construction estimating software.

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, accounting, construction management, or a related field.

- At least three years of experience in construction estimating or management.

- Strong skills in time management, project management, and communication.

- In-depth knowledge of data analysis, research methods, accounting, and estimation principles.

- Familiarity with automation controls, electrical systems, and mechanical concepts.

- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
