Our medical technologies company located in Mahwah, NJ is currently looking for an Engineer, Biochemical Engineering.

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. In your role as Project Engineer, Biomechanics, at our site in Mahwah, NJ, you are responsible for the planning, execution, analysis and documentation of safety and effectiveness tests for our implants and surgical instruments intended for the Craniomaxillofacial region. From the first day in your new role you will be trained on our diverse product portfolio and gain an overview of the relevant test set ups and test methods. Afterwards you will be expected to independently develop new testing procedure and improve them continuously, ensuring compliance to Medical Device Industry Regulations. You will be expected to interface with the R&D department, Manufacturing groups, Quality Assurance team, Regulatory Affairs team, and Marketing Department in order to properly understand device design requirements, specifications, and constraints. You will be expected to use knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/Bio-Medical Engineering to assist in setting appropriate performance criteria, selecting test methods, developing test fixtures/setups, authoring test protocols/reports, and coordinating/conducting testing across these disciplines. The coordination of international projects as well as communication with internal and external partners and laboratories is a critical part of this role. Beside this, your self-initiated participation in the continued development and evolution of our processes and methods is highly appreciated.
