Job Summary:

The HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the organization including hiring and interviewing, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, while also serving as a resource for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues.

  • This role is based full-time in office.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including but not limited to conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including orientation sessions and the completion of required paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards to attract top talent.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Serve as the liaison between employees and benefit providers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with annual benefits enrollment and communicate changes to employees as necessary.

HR Policy and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, keeping them up-to-date with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Provide training to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and compliance topics as needed.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers on goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Assist in the implementation of performance improvement plans and track progress towards performance goals.
  • Maintain accurate records related to performance management activities.

HR Data Management:

  • Maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) records and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and identify trends or areas for improvement.
  • Assist with HR data analysis and interpretation to inform HR strategies and initiatives.

Required Education, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • Property Management experience a plus
