Job Description

Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:*

  • Assisting with the process of new hires, on-boarding and off-boarding, reclassifications, updating employee information in our HRIS system, and other related documents.
  • Assist with all Worker's Compensation claims and Leave of Absence requests.
  • Assisting with organizational training requirements and assigning employee and management training as needed through an LMS.
  • Partakes in the upgrading, and maintenance of all HRIS staff files, modules, and other day-to-day Human Resources Information System (HRIS) support activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining organized and updated personnel files, consistent with the personnel file content criteria and labor law requirements, assures personnel evaluations, employee health screens and other required documents are current.
  • Responsible for assisting in the development and updating of personnel policy and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Serves as support for employee relations investigations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement counseling. Conducts investigations regarding discrimination and unfair employment practices.
  • Demonstrates organization and planning skills necessary to handle changing priorities, and numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Must have initiative and be capable of independent thought and action, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Draft documents, including discipline, performance review, termination, and correspondence related to the various functions of the department as assigned.
  • Assist with employee inquiries regarding HR-related questions.
  • Other HR-related functions within the scope.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management or related degree.
  • 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources related experience in California, as well as 1 year current Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Human Resources Certification through PHR or SHRM (required)
