Job Description

A local construction firm that specializes in residential remodeling projects, is seeking a Kitchen and Bath Designer to join their team and showroom. This position will entail customer facing customer service, assisting customers with your creativity, design skills, and industry knowledge to make distinct product selections and create beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. Previous experience in kitchens and bathrooms from design thru ordering is required. to be successful in this role you must be extremely organized, have prior design experience, be proficient in MS Excel, Word, 20/20 Design, and be extremely computer literate. You must be a self-starter, possesses a positive demeanor, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying customer's needs and wants, while presenting all kitchen and bath products
  • Working directly with customers to design the customers dream kitchen and/ or bathroom
  • Utilizing 20/20 Design software with several cabinet lines to layout, ,specify, and price cabinets for customer projects
  • Accurately quoting, ordering, and tracking all kitchen and bath products
  • Design consultation meetings and providing follow up and project communications
  • Data entry of product sales in the point of sales system
  • Supporting the Project specialists with product and project process knowledge
  • Working with the project managers and installers to ensure successful installations
  • Organizing and managing all documentation of the full cycle of projects
  • Maintaining pricing and merchandising for the department
  • Providing excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Must be capable of submitting a design portfolio demonstrating your design and 20/20 skills is required
  • A Degree in Interior Design is preferred, but not required. Industry Certifications is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years managing Kitchen and Bath projects, including working with cabinet installers
  • Minimum of 3 years designing and quoting projects with 20/20 design software in multiple cabinet catalogs
  • Experience in specifying and ordering plumbing fixtures for both kitchen and bath
  • Experience working with contractors for kitchen and bath remodels
  • Experience in working with countertop fabricators directly
  • Must have excellent time management skills, record keeping, and project management skills
  • Must have experience with customer relationship management systems
  • Must have experience specifying and ordering all products and being responsible for accurately checking all order acknowledgements and communicating shipping schedules
  • Must be capable of maintaining updated to 20/20 and all vendor catalogs and pricing

Salary: $50k + Commission

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday - Friday
  • Weekends as needed
