To advise & counsel management and other employees on employee related issues. Solve and facilitate organizational personnel issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

o Recruits and facilitates selection and hiring of new employees
o Advise management and other employees on employee relations and policy and procedure issues
o Assures workplace compliance of applicable state & federal employment laws
o Facilitates orientation and provides training for new employees
o Coordinates communication of information regarding benefits, compensation, and monitors adherence of established safety standards.
o Processes Payroll and serves as payroll contact.
o Maintain and generate reports i.e. Turnover, EEO, New Hire, OSHA log, etc.
o Recommends/implements activities that promote positive employee relations and participates in counseling, grievances, and/or disciplinary actions
o Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to establish and maintain positive employee/ labor relations, demonstrate sound judgment and fair resolution to sometimes complex employment problems. Needs to be trustworthy and check of police record is warranted. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills. Ability to speak in front of groups at all levels of organization. Need to be emotionally stable and able to empathize.
PHR / SPHR certification very helpful, but not required.
Travel required by plane up to 25% and must be able to cover all shifts
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Position requires Associate degree with Business, Industrial Psych., Org. Dev., or Human Resource Concentration and 4 years experience with primary facets of HR function: employment, compensation, benefits, records maintenance, employee/labor relations, etc
Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read English and Spanish.
