Job Description: As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department in various administrative tasks and responsibilities. Your primary objective will be to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment Support:

    • Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, conducting initial candidate screenings, and coordinating with hiring managers.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of job postings, applications, and candidate statuses.
    • Assist in drafting job descriptions and posting vacancies on appropriate platforms.
  2. Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:

    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, conducting orientations, and coordinating with relevant departments.
    • Process documentation related to employee separations, including exit interviews, clearance procedures, and finalizing paperwork.
  3. HR Administration:

    • Maintain employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
    • Prepare HR-related correspondence such as employment verification letters, disciplinary notices, and other documentation as required.
    • Manage and update HR documents, policies, and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
  4. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
    • Assist in resolving employee relations issues by gathering information, conducting initial investigations, and escalating matters to HR management when necessary.
    • Foster positive employee relations by promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  5. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Generate HR reports and metrics as required, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in an administrative role, preferably in HR or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data management.
