Job Description

Assist with governmental and third-party requests for property rights over the company's existing real estate portfolio and its new property acquisitions (Daily, Weekly, Various, as needed):

  • Research, and monitor right of way, condemnation, easement, and other third-party requests;
  • Preliminarily review, the potential right-of-way impacts on the property (e.g., signage, property value, use, parking, access, setbacks, traffic flow, visibility);
  • Present materials and research findings to the Associate Director of Right of Way
  • Source and review leases, existing surveys, title documents, and other property records from SharePoint to ascertain risk, issue, or understand facts regarding the property in question;
  • Research closed sale and on-market land comps to conduct condemnation award valuation analysis;
  • Review, log, and monitor new condemnation, easement, and 3rd party request matters in the Legal Access Database;
  • Review, log, and vet public hearing notices to determine the appropriate course of action if needed;
  • Research, analyze, and track future public improvement projects that may affect Realty Income property.
  • Provide support for condemnation and 3rd party request matters and transfer certain matters to Legal once complete to support the team.
  • Drafting, forwarding, and follow-up communication of Formal Notice Letters to Clients.
  • Support requests for research from the Legal-Acquisitions team to review Zoning Reports for potential and future public roadway projects.
