Ultimate Staffing is working with a reputable contracting company looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to add to their growing team. Ideal candidates will have a background with project-based or construction companies.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: St. Louis Metropolitan Area, In Office
Status: Direct Hire
Schedule: Mon- Fri, Days
Compensation: $42,000 - $50,000
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, credit memos, and vendor statements. The successful candidate will thrive in our in-office business casual environment and demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process and enter invoices and credit memos into the computer system.
· Resolve discrepancies and problem-solve questionable invoices/credit memos.
· Review and reconcile monthly statements from vendors.
· Maintain up-to-date Certificates of Insurance for subcontractors.
· Manage tax-exempt certificates for vendors and maintain current Form W-9 for all vendors.
· Handle petty cash transactions.
· Process utility and credit card payables.
· Complete new vendor applications as needed.
· Assist with miscellaneous clerical duties as required.
· Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
· Previous Experience in the construction or related industry highly preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of accounting information.
· Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
