We're thrilled to announce our current venture, actively supporting a dynamic client in the heart of San Jose with their Office Assistant position !

Pay rate: $25-$30/hr

Temp: 2-3 weeks assignment

SUMMARY: The Office Assistant assists the Resident Manager in the operation of the complex (smaller properties with under 50 units) in accordance with CLIENT Administrative guidelines to ensure effective fiscal, physical and social soundness. Takes initiative to seek solutions to problems unique to the complex. Understands and supports CLIENT's mission and core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collects rents, makes bank deposits, prepares and submits an accurate rent roll in a timely manner.
  • Assists with income verifications, certification and screening of applicants and collection of rents.
  • Enters all relevant transactions into the computer as described in the REM Policies and Procedures and follows back up and transmission schedules.
  • May conduct annual unit inspections.
  • Assists in scheduling vacant units for rental and occupancy.
  • Maintains legally required postings.
  • Monitors work orders and purchase orders.
  • Answers telephone, prepares correspondence, and maintains neatness of the office.
  • Assists in maintaining all required inventories for office supplies and office equipment.
  • File all documents and maintain filing system.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus
