Job Description

Material coordinator will be responsible for a broad range of duties related to inventory management and the oversight of products and materials. You will inspect and record shipments of products and equipment, and may also handle the processing of maintenance requests and work orders. Identify ways to better organize and expedite shipping and distribution processes.

What responsibilities are common for Materials Coordinator jobs?
* This position is responsible for the routine shipping and receiving tasks.
* Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
* Sort and counts parts and supplies and logs inventory.
* Ensure correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirements.
* May trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments. initiates proof of delivery documents.
* Willingness to assist other team members in parts in other material handling functions.
* Responsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more production or assembly areas.
* Establish and maintain a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
* Represent the department in a positive and professional manner.
* Collaborate with buyers and parts coordinators on incoming materials and service requests.
* Maintain appropriate documentation and participate in process improvements and quality improvement programs.
