SUMMARY
Oversees all activities associated with receipt and application of incoming payments. Ensures that all payments
received from customers are deposited and correctly applied to the related invoices in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Receives, sorts, scans, and remotely deposits all incoming payments; provides copies of checks or
payments when requested.
2. Prepares daily collection and cash activity reports.
3. Reconciles daily deposit against daily bank statement.
4. Sorts and processes credit card authorizations and payments received from customers; applies payments
received from customers to the related invoices correctly and in a timely manner.
5. Reconciles credit card payments received against credit card proceeds as credited by the bank.
6. Researches checks with missing information to ensure accurate and timely processing.
7. Keys batches into the system.
8. Processes debit memos for refunds to clients when necessary and processes credits and write-offs.
9. Reconciles credit card payments received against credit card proceeds as credited by the bank.
10. Posts cash batches after cash application is completed.
11. Communicates effectively with collection and billing departments, off-shore teams, and occasionally with
customers; responds to inquiries regarding cash application.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
1. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
* This position does not directly supervise staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* 3+ years of accounting or billing experience.

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.

* Outgoing and positive disposition.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention
to detail.
* Ability to handle confidential information.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Punctual and dependable attendance.
* Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
* None required.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively
before groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
* Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word,
Excel and E-mail.

* Word Processing software
