Job Description

A global Medical Device company in Irvine, CA is looking to identify and hire a Clinical Contracts Analyst who will negotiate and develop contracts associated with clinical trials, ensure contracts comply with regulations and manage the lifecycle of contracts.

The Clinical Contracts Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Initiating, drafting, redlining, and negotiating 3rd party moderately complex contracts based on substantial knowledge of financial, regulatory and clinical requirements.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders (e.g Legal, Compliance, IDS (Indirect Sourcing) to provide guidance on functional contract terms and scope of services to secure appropriate approvals and mitigate risk exposure to the company.
  • Tracking payment milestones against contract terms.
  • Resolving payment queries and confirming contract compliance.
  • Analyzing need for contract amendments or renewals and making recommendations, and/or negotiating changes to terms and conditions.
  • Submitting proposed final draft and supporting documentation through Legal Department's RFA system for contract approval and secure appropriate signatures within specified signing authority
  •  Maintaining CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) files & other duties assigned by Leadership.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field with 5 years of experience in healthcare related contracts and contract negotiation/administration and financial tracking/analysis against contracts required.
  • Master's degree or equivalent in related field with experience in international contract administration preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to contract negotiation and administration.
  • Full knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations (e.g. HIPAA and Sunshine Act).
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects.
