 3-5 years of benefits background. Need to have strong background with LOA and FMLA and be strong with working large companies. Need to have benefits background which is the main background for this role. 
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for the hiring processes, termination processes, and many of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Administrator carries out clerical and technical responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits, employment, terminations, workers compensation, training, employee recognition programs and required labor documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Be knowledgeable on and explain company personnel policies, benefits and procedures to employees, managers, and job applicants.
* Be a role model on Company and Human Resources department policies and procedures.

EMPLOYMENT: Coordinate and implement all phases of hiring processes.
* Act as gatekeeper for approval on hiring, compensation, etc.
* Work directly with hiring Manager and their staff as needed, communicating as needed during each candidate's hire process.
* Post open positions on various job boards including web based Craigslist, Monster, etc. Maintain list open positions on the internal job board, FirstPlace.
* Obtain and analyze information from previous employers, references provided, and other references in order to determine applicants' employment acceptability.
* Process and review employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications and eligibility of applicants per our Company policies.
* Review resumes and evaluate qualifications of applicants. Pre-screen job applicants to obtain and verify information. Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
* Perform and analyze initial and periodic background checks based on requirements of position and to maintain industry compliance.
* Create Offer Letters based on Personnel Requisition per Manager request.
* Enter new hire into Payroll/HR system. Communicate new hire to appropriate departments to set up systems access, offices, rosters, etc.
* Coordinate and implement new employee orientation. Be knowledgeable on all orientation documents, including health benefits, policies, timekeeping, etc. Maintain updated orientation materials, including making sure all documents are current and updated per Company policies and any new laws. Implement Security Training as needed.
* Maintain all hire paperwork in personnel file.

I-9'S:
* Reviews all new hire I-9's for compliance with DHS. Processes approval.
* Educates new hires on the I-9 requirements and acceptable documentation.
* Follows up so I-9 is completed within deadline, keeping Manager informed of any delays.

TEMPORARY STAFFING:
* Coordinate temporary staffing needs, working with Managers and staffing companies, approving invoices and time sheets, monitoring agreements on hours worked, and converting temp to hires.
* Analyze staffing company agreements and pricing.

TERMINATIONS:
* Prepare termination paperwork. Coordinate with receipt of last check. Communicate with Manager.
* Handle exit interviews for resignations. Assist with exit interviews for terminations and layoffs.
