Job Description

Responsibilities

Position responsible for working with various large format substrates; weeding, masking, hemming; assisting graphic designer; installation of vinyl graphics, vehicle graphics, window graphics, architectural film; operation of large format machines and laminators.

Qualifications
 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel); MS Exchange; Adobe Acrobat (e.g. reader and writer).
  • Must possess strong verbal communication skills (e.g. friendly and audible tone, speak clearly), good written and listening communication skills and be willing and able to communicate in English over the telephone, in person and via email.
  • Must possess a sense of urgency, accountability and have ability to manage deadlines efficiently
  • Must have knowledge, ability and experience measuring custom graphics; solid understanding of related substrates and materials is required
  • Must have strong Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) skills and experience.
  • Must have aptitude to learn new equipment and software in a timely manner
  • Must be able to stand, bend, squat, lift and reach overhead for a reasonable amount of time to perform assigned job duties on time and on budget.
  • Must be physically able to use both arms and hands for handling substrate and using back and forth motions during installation and for the duration of installation.
  • Must be ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience working in large format printing, vehicle graphics & decal installation, window graphics & decal installation, architectural film installation.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to local off-site installations when applicable.
  • Must have a valid and clean Texas drivers' license.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
Preferred/Plus
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Formal graphics installation training/certification a plus
Formal design software training a plus
Formal training in printer operations/print shop experience a plus
Familiarity with/working knowledge of HP Flexiprint, Xerox Fiery, Onyx RIP Queue, and Graphtec Cutting Master preferred.
Experience operating HP, Xerox, Cannon printer and Graphtec cutter preferred
