Job Description

As the Senior Sales Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the compensation needs of our 
EMEA Sales Compensation Organization. You would also assist and support all aspects of the creations and 
changes of the compensation report and the rollout of Global International Compensation Plans and 
Implementations of other GEOs. The ideal candidate would feel comfortable juggling tasks, and able to work 
productively in a fast paced, team-oriented and individual contributor role with a great, positive attitude. This person 
would be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential information in a rapidly changing organization. You will have a 
high level of integrity and drive to get things done well. 
 
This person would be a self-starter who can learn quickly and is an expert in using the IBM Incentive Compensation 
Software System or an equivalent system. This person would help design, implement SIP component changes and 
maintain the Varicent model. This person would play a dual role in understanding all the ins and outs of the system 
logic as well as be the go to person regarding all aspect of the quarterly SIP payment. This person would help 
create and take the initiative to improve processes, create documentation and other tools to help grow and define 
the compensation team at Varian. Using your strong communication skills, you would collaborate with a variety of 
people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of moderate to high complexity and scope. This person would also 
help train and develop new hires as the team grows. 
 
 
 
Job Requirements  
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in one of the following areas: Accounting or Finance, Business 
Administration with experience in Computer Science Information Technology  
* Accounting background a strong desire * 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing complex compensation programs 
  
 
* Experience working in high growth, performance focused environment * Excellent verbal and written skills * Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access and Power Point * Ability to understand user expectations and escalate issue that may affect deliverables * IBM ICM (Varicent) or equivalent experience a plus * SAP ERP system experience highly desirable * Sales Force (Unity experience) * Qlikview and reporting knowledge * Strong customer services aptitude and ability to follow through to resolve customer issues and meet 
department deadlines
