Job Description

A medical device company in Irvine, CA has an opening for an Engineer II! This position is a six month duration.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Implement signal processing algorithms for a) data acquisition and conditioning and b) feature detection and tracking
  • Design and run experiments for data collection and analysis
  • Document results and discuss their relevance
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Matlab (this is a plus), R, Python, C++ or equivalent
  • Experience in one or more of these fields: radar, lidar, ultrasound, biosignals (EEG, ECG, BP, etc.), medical imaging, pattern recognition or related fields
  • Experience in feature detection and tracking; signal acquisition and conditioning; and time-frequency and statistical analysis
  • Working knowledge of machine learning is a plus
  • Experience with GPUs, HPC, and/or AWS or equivalent is a plus
  • Experience with beamforming and phased arrays is a plus
Education & Experience:                             
  • Bachelor's degree in physics, computer science, electrical or software engineering or related discipline required
  • Enrolled in or completed master's degree or PhD program is a plus
  • 37.50 hours per week
