SUMMARY

Assist in conducting routine or periodic inspections, preventative maintenance, and calibration to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned).
* Repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures
* Assist with installation of machinery systems
* Perform electrical systems maintenance
* Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order
* Help maintain inspection and repair schedules
* Act as on-call handyman when needed

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
* Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, operation manuals, safety rules, etc.
* Must have interpersonal skills necessary to deal with people at all levels within the organization as well as with outside suppliers and contractors
* Ability to read, write, and understand basic reports relating to this department

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
* The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
? Must have 20/20 visual acuity with or without glasses and color vision
